Hot stone is a good choice if you carry deep tension in your back and shoulders but find very firm pressure uncomfortable. It is also lovely on a cool Bangalore evening or during the monsoon. If you are pregnant, have a skin condition or are sensitive to heat, tell the desk first. A different treatment may suit you better.
After your hot stone massage
You may feel very relaxed, even a little sleepy, after a hot stone session. That is a good sign. The warmth has done its work. Drink a glass of water, take a few minutes before you get up, and if you can, have a warm shower and an early night.
Try not to plan anything strenuous straight afterwards. The muscles have just been loosened, and an evening of rest helps the feeling last into the next day.
